Getting ready for the Music Aptitude Tests – June 2018

Half-term’s over and we hope you had a relaxing break. Once term resumes, we’ll be working with our Year 5 students on the Music Aptitude Tests for the remaining 6 weeks of the Summer term. Most of our students will sit the tests between now and the end of the year for secondary school entry in 2019.

We’ve got a workshop coming up soon on 22nd June where you can have tuition in a small group to help you with the trickier sections of the MAT. The session is open to all students, not just students at the SE22 Piano School. We have a couple of spaces available on this session that we hold at our studio in East Dulwich: https://hoop.co.uk/dulwich-music-festival/djjfvP-music-aptitude-test-training-group-session/

If you haven’t already downloaded the tests, do have a look on our web site for lots of tips and sample tests similar in style to the ones you will hear at your test. http://musicaptitudetest.co.uk/

If you have downloaded the tests and have any questions about the MAT, please feel free to ask for advice on our Facebook group. Please note we cannot give general advice over email other than assisting with any queries relating to the downloading of our test materials. https://www.facebook.com/groups/MusicAptitudeTestSupport/

And finally, if you are participating in the Dulwich Music Festival, you will be able to buy the tests at a discounted rate.
