The SE22 Piano School is still running online events and we’re still fundraising for Westminster House Youth Club in Nunhead. I’d originally planned to raise a couple of hundred quid during lockdown but the total’s now just over £1000 so I might as well keep going!
This online competition is a bit different as it will be open to all instruments and singers, not just pianists this time around. Have a look and enter on Eventbrite then email a copy of your sheet music. There’s no deadline but there’s limited numbers per class so check out how many spaces are left and grab one before they all go.
We reopened the doors of our piano school in East Dulwich after 6 months closure during COVID-19 restrictions. Our first week back went extremely well with all students, teachers and parents on board with the new safety measures that are helping us keep everybody safe.
We’ve also had a record number of enquiries for September thanks to the Dulwich Diverter cover feature and advert. We are nearly at maximum capacity now so we’ll be adding in an extra day of piano lessons on Friday afternoon to start this week so do enquire if you are looking to learn the piano. Our vacancies page has just been updated here although it gets out of date very quickly so do email if you’d like to find out the current vacancies as this is changing daily. We teach adults and children from the age of 4.
Friday 3rd July at 4pm – 5.30. Adjudicated by Lorraine Liyanage & Mirnalfonsina Grisolia (SE22 Piano School)
Online Piano Festival Join us for an online piano festival where you can play your pieces on Zoom and receive verbal feedback, an e-certificate and a medal. We will also award one Trophy per class. Medals and trophies are available for collection from us in SE22 after the event. Open to all young pianists, not just SE22 Piano School students.
Entry to the competition is by a minimum £10 donation per pianist. Register and donate on Eventbrite. We have been fundraising during lockdown for a children’s Youth Club in Nunhead called Westminster House and have raised over £600 so far since the end of March. Your participation in this event will help us boost this total even further. The Youth Club are providing weekly free meals and a foodbank for the vulnerable young people that use the club.
