Online Music Competition for Young Musicians, December 2020

The SE22 Piano School is still running online events and we’re still fundraising for Westminster House Youth Club in Nunhead. I’d originally planned to raise a couple of hundred quid during lockdown but the total’s now just over £1000 so I might as well keep going!

This online competition is a bit different as it will be open to all instruments and singers, not just pianists this time around. Have a look and enter on Eventbrite then email a copy of your sheet music. There’s no deadline but there’s limited numbers per class so check out how many spaces are left and grab one before they all go.

We were overwhelmed with entries for our sold-out first Fundraising Online Piano Festival for Westminster House Youth Club in Nunhead and have decided to run this event again in August on Tuesday 11th at 4pm. We are delighted to say we raised £175 for the charity through your entries.

ENTRIES NOW OPEN

Join us for an online piano festival where you can play your pieces on Zoom and receive feedback, an e-certificate and a medal. We will also award one Trophy per class. Medals and trophies are available for collection from us in SE22 after the event.

Entry to the competition is by a minimum £10 donation per pianist. We have been fundraising during lockdown for a children’s Youth Club in Nunhead called Westminster House and have raised over £780 so far since the end of March. Your participation in this event will help us boost this total even further. The Youth Club are providing weekly free meals and a foodbank for the vulnerable young people that use the club.

Ask your teacher which class you should enter and which pieces(s) you will play. We previously had a deadline to enter but the places all filled up well before the deadline therefore we are advising you enter early but there is no deadline to enter. Once all tickets are sold out, no more can be added.

DO NOT ENTER TBC ON YOUR ENTRY AS THIS CAUSES AN ONEROUS AMOUNT OF ADMIN FOR OUR VOLUNTEERS TO EMAIL AND CHASE YOU UP FOR THE CORRECT INFORMATION THAT SHOULD HAVE BEEN ENTERED AT THE TIME OF ENTRY. EDITING OR AMENDING ANY ENTRIES FOR ANY REASON INCURS A £5 DONATION TO THE CHARITY PAGE .
