Returning your signed registration form and attending your first lesson constitutes acceptance of these terms and conditions.
Overview
•At least 36 lessons will be provided throughout the school year from September to July.
•Optional lessons are available during holidays
at an additional charge.
•We operate the same timetable as Southwark State schools.
•Full attendance is expected termly.
Payments
•All students/parents will be billed at the end of the Autumn, Spring and Summer terms
and payment must be provided on the first lesson of the next term.
•Late payments incur a weekly fine of £5.
•Payment is by cash or online transfer only, no cheques accepted.
Absence Policy
•We expect full attendance during the term, therefore any lessons missed are at the students' expense.
•We do not reschedule lessons or make-up missed lessons in half-term.
•We do not rearrange or swap lessons.
Students’ responsibilities
•Attend all instrumental lessons as scheduled.
•Practice daily as advised by the teacher using the practice book provided.
•Perform regularly at recitals and festivals.
Parents’ responsibilities (where relevant)
•Support home practice and sign the practice book.
•Ensure their child’s attendance at instrumental lessons unless for good reason.
•Notify us of any known absences.
Photography Consent
We photograph and film our school events such as festivals and competitions. If you would prefer your child’s photograph not to be used on our web site or marketing materials, please advise us in writing when attending the first lesson.
Publishing Exam Results
We publish all exam results on our web site and in our newsletters and concert programmes. If you do not want your child’s mark to appear, please advise us in writing.
Substitute Teachers
In the unlikely event that your teacher is not available on the day of your lesson, we will use a fully-qualified and CRB checked substitute teacher. If there is no teacher available, then we will discount the cost of the lesson from next term’s invoice.
Terminating lessons
We reserve the right to terminate lessons if a student is not benefitting from lessons as we would hope. All new students are accepted on a trial basis that lasts up to 1 year.
