Piano lesson terms, conditions and rates 2010 - 2011

Overview

•36 lessons will be provided throughout the school year from September to July.
•Optional lessons are available during holidays
•New pupils starting lessons midway through a term will be charged accordingly
•Some physical contact with pupils may be required to correct stance and fingering

Fees

30 minutes - £20.00;
60 minutes - £40.00

Payments

•All students/parents will be billed at the beginning of the Autumn, Spring and Summer terms
•Methods of payment are cheque, cash or bank transfer
•If the pupil is absent from a lesson without permission or prior notice, a charge will still be made
•1 week’s notice is required to cancel or rearrange a lesson
•Only 1 authorised absence is permitted per term

Discounts are available as follows for advance cash payments:

•12 lessons for the price of 11 (one term), 36 lessons for the price of 32 (one year)

Pupils’ responsibilities

•Attend all instrumental lessons as scheduled
•Practice regularly as advised by the teacher using the practice book provided

Parents’ responsibilities (where relevant)

•Support home practice and sign the practice book
•Ensure their child’s attendance at instrumental lessons unless for good reason
•Notify us of any known absences

To stop the lessons

•Written notice is required before the end of July if lessons are not to continue in the new academic year
•A minimum of 6 weeks paid notice, in writing, is required if lessons are to stop during the school year.
•Pupils may continue with attendance during the notice period.
•Written notice should be sent to SE22 Piano School

Refunds

•Refunds are may be paid only in the following circumstances:
•Where, due to the absence or unavailability of the teacher, 36 lessons have not been offered throughout the whole school year
•Pupils have finished before the end of term and the required notice has been given
•Where parents have given notification of long term absence i.e. more than a minimum of 3 consecutive lessons
