We teach many different styles of music to children and adults. To give you an idea of the repertoire that are current students are playing, here's a list of songs that Lorraine has been teaching this term:
Darth Vader's Imperial March from Star Wars by John Williams |

For students studying classical music grades, we always incorporate non-classical music into our lessons. We always ask students what their favourite songs are and we work out how to play these together by ear. We will tailor lessons to your individual needs and whilst we are happy to suggest songs that you may like to learn, we will never force you to play anything that you don't want to! Have a listen to various videos of our students performing here. |

Our piano studio is equipped with a Yamaha grand piano from Coach House Pianos in Swansea as well as a spinet from Peter Barnes' workshop in Bath. Many of our students enjoy playing on the spinet which is similar to a harpsichord and we love encouraging our youngest students to develop an interest in Early Music. We also run regular harpsichord masterclasses in Honor Oak with Petra Hajduchova who teaches harpsichord as well as the piano. A full-size harpsichord available at all our recitals. Luckily a harpsichord is fairly easy to transport, unlike a piano! |

We run monthly performance groups for amateur musicians to play infront of a small audience. This is open to all instrumentalists, not just pianists. An accompanist is available at each session. These take place on the last Tuesday of each month. See here for full details. |
